Color, cut out and laminate these as well place the leaves in a paper sack when playing. Use "sticky -back" Velcro to hold the "x' and "o" circles to the tic tac toe board when playing (or just use tape). Put small pieces of magnetic strip on the back side of the tic tac toe board to hold it to the magnetic chalkboard when playing.
this can be used ln several ways. For singing time, this can be used in conjunction with the "Autumn Tree" from the website. Numbers 1-9 can be taped to the back of the autumn leaves randomly (there will be three leaves that won't have a number on them to help make the game more interesting!). If you don't have the tree, then place your leaves that have numbers 1-9 in a paper sack. Divide the group into two teams, now sing a song and when you are done, choose a person from each team to come up and pick a leaf from your tree or a leaf from your sack. One team will be team "x" and one will be team "o". They then will place their letter on whatever number they chose from the tree or sack. This makes it a lot more fun to try and get a ''tic tac toe" three in a row! Children will love the unknown and unique way to play this old-time favorite game! Teachers can use this fun game for lesson reviews with any lesson they choose! Have fun!
