This fun BINGO card game teaches ways we can make others feel welcome and comfortable coming to church each Sunday. Children cover the pictures on their bingo card when it is shown to the group. The first player to complete a row of pictures is the winner!
Reproduce the Bingo board cards onto heavier cardstock. If you require more than four boards for your family or class, reproduce two of each board and there will be two winners each time. Color, cut out and laminate the Bingo Board Cards. Reproduce the individual cards and a total of 36 heart cards onto cardstock as well. Color, cut out and laminate for durability.
Give each player a Bingo Board and 9 Heart Cards. Shuffle the deck of individual cards and place the deck face down. Take turns turning over one card and showing to all players. Each card represents a way we can make others feel welcome and comfortable when they come to church. When a picture is shown, each player finds that picture on their card (if they have it) and covers it with a heart card. Keep taking turns until one player has covered a single row vertically, horizontally, or diagonally on their Bingo Board. That player is the first winner! Keep playing until the next player gets an "X" corner to corner covered. Finally, play until someone gets a picture frame (all the outside edge) covered. Have fun playing over and over again and learning how to be a welcoming individual to all who attend church each Sunday!
The object of this fun game is to be the first to collect your three sources of LIGHT. This is done by finding the three picture cards that match your collection card. The twist is to find as many of the "SON" LIGHT cards of Jesus Christ that are wild cards. The first player to cover all three of his pictures is the winner! Remember that Jesus is the source of ALL light!
This activity can be played two ways. Behind each of the letters spelling "JESUS LOVES ME" you place six hidden sheep. Divide the group into two teams. The object is to find 3 of the hidden sheep for your team by answering questions and then picking a letter card. If there is a sheep on it, keep it. First team to collect three sheep is the winner! Another way of playing is to put the name of each family member or class member on each sheep and hide them behind the letters and each person tries to find their own sheep!
