Create your own games and activities using these Primary Song Visuals to help teach and review the LDS primary song "Joseph Smith's First Prayer". This file includes verse 1 only.
Reproduce all the pages to this song onto a heavier cardstock. Color, cut out and laminate each page. You may choose to write the words of the song on the back of each picture before laminating. Place a small piece of magnet strip on the two upper corners of the backside of each picture. This will make placing it on your magnetic chalkboard easy and quick. If you do not have a magnetic chalkboard, then tape a depressor stick or paint stick to the back of each picture so that the children can easily hold them up when singing.
Invite some children to help participate in this song. Give each child a different picture to hold. Each picture represents a portion of the song. After singing through the song several times, have a few of the children turn around their visual so that it can not be seen. Sing the song again and then continue turning visuals. Do this until the entire song can be sung without the aid of visuals.
