This is a fun lesson presentation to help you have fun while discussing the things we can do to invite the Lord's presence ("Presents") in our life. Take turns discussing the items on the cards and putting them into the gift box.

HOW TO MAKE:

Reproduce the three pages that make up the large present box onto heavier cardstock. Laminate for durability. Cut out and attach the two bottom box pieces on the sides and across the bottoms with some tape (shipping tape or two side tape works well). Reproduce the two pages and optional third page of cards onto heavier cardstock. Laminate for durability. Cut out. We have included a page of blank cards that you can write your own ideas on or have your children or primary class help you come up with some answers and write them on these cards.

HOW TO PLAY:

Use this Gift Box in a discussion with your class about the things we can do to have the Lord’s presence with us. Place the bottom of the gift box on the black board either with tape or magnets. Place the gift box lid on the black board above the bottom piece to allow for enough room to be able to insert the cards into the box opening. Give each child a card and have them take turns discussing how the picture on the card shows how we can invite the presence of the Lord. Then they can put the card into the top opening of the gift box. You can also utilize the optional blank cards to ask each of the children to write something they can do to invite the presence of the Lord in thier life. If the cards are laminated then you can write on them with white-board markers.
