Fun activities and games to supplement your Come Follow Me lessons from the Doctrine and Covenants. These are some Finch Family favorite games that teach about Joseph Smith is a prophet of God, and God gives us commandments to help us. Games and activities included in this bundle are:

Poster: “Joseph’s First Prayer”
This unique and beautiful poster would be a wonderful handout to give each of your children to color and put up in their bedrooms at home. It would be a constant reminder of what Joseph did to find out which church was true and his beginning in finding and sharing this truth with the rest of the world! Joseph was a true prophet of God!
Song: “Praise to the Man”
This song from our hymn book tells the story of Joseph Smith and his search in finding the true church. Children will relate to this song as they have learned his story in Come Follow Me.
Game: “Joseph Smith Bingo”
This group bingo game will be great in reviewing the people and items that are on this bingo game. Divide into two teams. Players take turns answering questions you have created from your Come Follow Me lessons concerning Joseph Smith and all that he has done. Once the team answers your question, they pick a card from a sack and place it on the bingo board. The first team to get a “bingo” (four in a row), wins some points. Then you continue to play and get an “X” (corner to corner) and finally get a “picture frame” (all around the edges of the board). Children love this game and will learn a lot at the same time!
Game: “Camp Commandment”
God knows that we will be a happier people when we obey His commandments. Follow the trail on the “Camp Commandment” game and find ways we can show respect and love towards our Heavenly Father as we follow the trail. Play as individuals or as teams of two. Players will collect game points along the way. The winner is determined by the points collected.
Story: “Debbie Makes a Choice”
Debbie has been baptized and knows the importance of keeping all of God’s commandments. She knows that they are given to us to help us. But Debbie struggles one day and is given the chance to disobey the commandments. What will Debbie do? This is a great story to encourage children to obey ALL of God’s commandments!
